A Sports Guy’s Life Without Football

It’s very very sad to be a “sports guy” when it’s not football season.

Maybe I feel that way because football is my favorite sport, or maybe I say this because I was born and raisd in the south, and football’s huge down here.  Or maybe I say it because it’s so very true.

There’s just something different about covering football than any other sport.  And I’m sure it’s the same way when you’re a fan.  Just think about how big of a spectacle the Super Bowl has become year after year.

It’s the busiest, yet the most fun sport season.  The games always seem big, the storylines always seem grand, and the stages are always set with such a “no guts no glory” scenario week after week.

Plus it’s just plain easier to keep track of the local teams when there’s only 10 or 12 games in a season…haha.

So, anyway, life will be sad now that signing day has come and gone, but at least I’ll have the NFL Draft to look forward to in April!
