Attacking Dogs - Pitiful Pet Owners
Have you seen the video recently released of two vicious dogs attacking a little boy at a gas station in Detroit? It’s unbelievable!
I could almost understand if the dogs were in a pack, running wild, but these two Pit bull-Labrador mixes actually have an owner. An owner who seemed surprised when police impounded their “pets.“ Fortunately the little boy suffered only minor injuries, but he could have been killed. No doubt he’s been emotionally scarred. Imagine if he were your child.
What’s wrong with people? Why do they get animals if they aren’t going to take care of them, be responsible.
As an animal lover it makes me sick to see how poorly people treat their “pets.“ For some reason, the problem seems to be worse in the south.
I’ll admit, some might think I go a little overboard with my two “boys”...but they are a part of my family and when I took them in, I took the responsibility of caring for them very seriously. In return I’ve received so much love and companionship from them. Having “Hank” and “Simon” is a lot of work and can be expensive, but it was my choice and now my responsibility. Yes they are dogs, but they are living, breathing creatures of God and it is my responsibility to care for them properly, if I’m going to have them at all.
Chaining a dog to a tree and leaving it in the heat and cold is not a responsible act. It makes the animal aggressive. It makes no sense. Having an animal and training it to fight, is irresponsible. It’s also a recipe for disaster. If you don’t think so, take a look at the dogs attacking the boy in Detroit. These dogs weren’t born angry…someone made them that way.
