  To Whom It May Concern,

WHAT A COUNTRY WE LIVE IN. My mother, Janice Sturgis, is a 49 yr. old brain tumor patient, brain stem glioma, since 1995. Due to the radiation she received for cancer in ‘95, she now suffers from unsteady gait and balance, double and blurred vision, nerve damage of both hands, memory and hearing loss, all of these side effects have developed this yr. She cannot work or even dress herself now. She has applied for Disability, Widowers SSI, SS benefits, Medicaid, Medicare and was denied all. She had lost her job and insurance earlier this yr. about the same time these symptoms started. People in this country need help why aren’t they getting it? Instead our US GOV. is helping other countries. Take care of your own first, just like we all do with our families. We provide for our families and then we help friends when we can. Mom is in pain, cant do much at all for herself and right now we can’t afford to get her medicine. She is about to loose her trailer, car was repossessed last week. I help her as much as I can, but I have my own bills and 2 children. This is ridiculous her doctors have sent all the forms stating that she is disabled she can not work, she can not even drive. People need little things to survive like running water, lights, toilet paper, soap, shampoo, food, and the list goes on. She has worked since she was 15 yrs. old until April 2008. What is wrong with the system? Why is she being denied the benefits that she is entitled to?
            Sincerely,
                Misti Chapman

My husband and I voted at Timberlawn Elementary today. We tried to go this morning when the polls opened but people were parked on Hwy 18.  We decided to go back later and we made it at 11 am.  The line was considerably shorter and they were moving at a very good pace. The problems I was expecting didn’t occur and I was very happy.

Obama, Obama, Obama what a wonderful name. He is a strong man that did not let all the slander McCain and Palin talked about did not cause him to loose focus on what was important to the people. We only wanted to know what the next President intention where for the next 4 years, not how to make the other look bad. Barack Obama delivered the message needed about the changes that needs to be made. That’s why BARACK OBAMA will be the next PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES!!!!
