What do you think needs to be done to protect children from bad teachers?

They should be fired and replaced by someone who cares about the welfare of the children! How can a ‘teacher’ teach a child with a bad attitude? |

I think that if teachers cannont handle that kind of work they do not need to teach. But parents our children if bad and it our job to make sure they do what the teacher say. Because school is for children not the teachers |

First of all, teachers are trusted with the future of our state: our children. They shouldn’t be hired through an easy process and their progress should be monitored. By monitored I mean drug test, test for subject competencies, and even anger management and stress management classes and tactics. Also, ask these kids about their teachers every once in a while, they’ll tell you what’s really going on. As far as Carla Hughes and Keyon Pittman, why is he still walking around scott free? Elicia Hughes? I really think that man just ran her insane with his CARELESS cheating right in her face! you can push a woman too far. LET HER GO! |

Teachers should be tested every school year. Carla Hughes is a fool;Kenyon Pittman would be sitting in a jail cell, also. Regardless, if he admit it or not he is just as guilt as she is. When he decided to cheat on Avis, he was taking a chance on her life. And Elicica Hughes, is money hungry witch. She deserves the DEATH PENALTY for killing her husband Brian. She was probably cheating on him too. AND IF SHE DIDN’T WANT HIM SOMEBODY ELSE WOULD HAVE BEEN GLAD TO BE WITH HIM! |

Yes, there should be regular teacher back-ground checks, but, we are failing to realize that teachers also should be protected. JPS students are a vile bunch! They are violent psychopaths! Many of their parents are not any better—“apples do not fall far from their trees”. |

I don’t understand the state of MS. How is it that the mayor can have an arrest warrant out for trying to make Jackson better while a suspect can choose when he wants to come in and answer questions? I’m referring to Keyon Pittman in his fiancee’s murder. If he was concerned about her and her family, he’d at least say where he was that night. If he were in New Orleans or any other LA city, he’d have been brought in for obstruction of justice for inhibiting the progress of a case. I don’t get it. |

I think background checks and random drug test is a must. But with whats going on now, you can never tell what will or wont happen. Camaras in the room can help with abuse. But as far as the teachers, there is really no way to judge a persons reaction |
