If DHS didn’t do there job then they should be held accountable for the death of Austin. It’s ridiculous that there is an agency that is in place to protect the abused and neglected children of Mississippi, but they turn a blind eye and don’t do their job. Something needs to be done now to correct this problem before another innocent child is lost. |

This poor baby should have been checked on at least twice month. It is unbelievable that this bably suffered that long with out anyone noticing. We see from this horrible act of a grandmother and aunt that no one can be trusted when it comes to our most precious gift, our babies.I thought grandmother would be willing to give their life to protect a child. Both of these ladies need to be put to death. It should be law that children have to have a monthly check up. If they miss it then someone needs to find out why they missed. The USA spends billions taking care of other countries make sure home is taken care of first. Society takes better care of animals than they do humans. |

I understand that not all DHS workers are sorry, but what is going on with the fact that no one noticed the child was starving to death. The Local Paper stated he went to Headstart up until 2 months ago they get two meals a day at headstart, so why why did he starve? And Why doesnt the Attorney General take a look into these few state government offices that have so called done their job? |

On Air the Sister of the Grandmother stated she had called DHS. Why in the Scott County Times did the spokesman of the Local DHS Lori Woodruff state ” Social Workers continue monthly vists in open cases” But no one noticed the child was starving to death? Futhermore he went to a Local Head Start up until 2 Months Ago but not one person noticed what the coroner stated took more than six months to kill the poor child? |

Dhs has a lot of problems with when a case is reported they don’t do anything it is to late. They claim they check on the children but they don’t. I have a similar problem, with my grandchildren and nothing has ever been done.DHS wait until children are killed or maimed before they do anything. They lie and say they investigate and they will get back to but they don’t. |
