ENOUGH ALREADY! Do any of you really feel safer with old men like Seale and Killen behind bars? The media has done more to thwart progress in mending the racial rift in Mississippi than any other person or organization. This is not news….it is HISTORY! I liken the pursuit of justice in these cold cases to me trying to punish the yankee who shot my great-great-great grandfather in the civil war. Let’s hear some news for a change!! |

I think that we have enough problems today without dredging up cold cases from the past. These men are too old to put in prison and besides that their health is bad and we will just have to pay for their medical needs if they are in jail. I say that we should try to solve the ones that are being commited now. |

If a man commits a crime then he should be punished I believe. It wouldn’t take an hour for the police to come arrest me for a crime I committed. All you so called klansman that are still lurking under the white sheet ya’ll were never real men. Real men don’t hide their faces for a cause they believe in. My people have never hid their faces for civil rights. Try to come to our communities now and see what will happen. But my comment doesn’t mean anything because the children of the klansman still holds the power in Mississippi but you will never have power over me. I will always stand up for myself and my family till I die. Any klansman that reads this can believe that I’m not alone. Look me up |

By reading the comments I can tell the individuals who are still sick and racist. People need closure to heal and it is not fair to deny people of closure. With no closure fear is created and fear brings on some dangerous actions. |

If the older folks would leave the past in the past, the future for our children would be so much better. They are educated more now, they would learn to get along and make the futures better for their children. We need to worry about the present and the future. Stop turning back the clock, for our childrens sake. |

I believe that everyone is entitled to justice… so we need to look at all the cases not just civil rights and not just current cases!!!!!! |

I believe that if Tony and the disgusted Mississippi’s family were the cold cases, their views would be different. Those families have lived all these years with no justice for their loved ones. It is time for all people, not just Mississippi to care about human lives. Being that I live in Brandon, it is sad that someone from the same town has such a thoughtless opinion!!! I think that as the media, WJTV should not air cruel and harsh opinions especially since the Civil Rights is and always will be a sensitive issue for those people that want equal liberty and justice for ALL people, not just black and white. |

Oh, how the nay-sayers’ tunes would change if they had witnessed the murder of a loved one by hanging or torture or burning and those who did it were allowed to walk free because of differentskin color. Would that change YOUR tune? |
