To everyone who has made both good and ridiculous comments. I think before we start putting so much into what Obama is and isn’t going to do for this Country, we need to put more energy into praying to God to protect not only he and his family but all of us.There is no need to try talk down on him and focus on his wife’s clothing because its not going to change the fact that he is our new PRESIDENT. He can’t screw this USA up no more than it has been for years, We might as welll pray that the next 8 yes, 8 years are prosperous and that he does his best to make the correct decision whie he is in office. Our fate is in God’s hands not Obama’s. May God bless Obama, you, and the US!

When will we, as human beings understand that there is no difference in our makeup, and that all of us must at some point, find a way to live in harmony?
As to the Presidency, it doesn’t matter who the president is because he can’t change a thing by himself.  There are three branches of government, not one. Disagreeing with presidential politics is one thing but wishing our country to fail is traitorous.

rev, I could care less what color the president is.  After all he’s half white and half black, even though he doesn’t even claim his white half.  All of that is irrelevant to me.  I don’t like what he stands for.  He’s already started to weaken our countries defenses.  It’s just a matter of time before we will get attacked again.  God help us all when we do.

i have read some of these comments and its no wonder mississippi is still behind in everything the rest of the world is waking up but unfortunately we r not!!!!! no wonder we r passed over for companies that would bring new jobs here. these opinions prove there is still much to be done in changing our racist views!!!!! i say just give the new president a chance because after all he’s all our president just as bush was like it or not the world is changing and its about time mississippi changed from the old south!!!

What else do you expect from white people.Like they say “If you ain’t white you’re never right”.They never take blame for anything and always point fingers.

One more point about Obama:  He is the most unqualified candidate ever to seek, be nominated for or be elected to the presidency.  He is far less qualified than Governor Sarah Palin, despite what the liberal so-called “news” media (ABC, CBS, CNN, NBC, MSNBC, Time, Newsweek, New York Times, etc. and the Clarion-Liar, locally) would have you believe.  Of course, only liberals and other gullible individuals believe their lies.

I am sick of all the Obama-mania from the liberal national media, looney left celebrities, the local television stations and the Clarion-Liar editorial pages.  What makes anyone think he will accomplish anything as president?  He achieved nothing in the Illinois legislature and the U.S. Senate.  He is a product of the corrupt Chicago Democrat political machine, and he had the most liberal voting record in the U.S. Senate.  Liberalism is the new communism, except it is much worse; it is going to destroy this country from within.
Nothing good will come from the Obama administration, only bad: resurrection of failed liberal Democrat policies of the past, abortion on demand, government-sanctioned gay marriage, higher taxes and redistribution of wealth through more welfare giveaway programs (typical old tired liberal Democrat tax and spend policies), a weakened military and greater danger of terriorist attacks, appointment of liberal judges and the further erosion of the Constitution, etc.
However, Obama will accomplish something President Bush could not: he will cause a dramatic rise in President Bush’s approval rating, because Bush’s policies will look so much better when compared to Obama’s.
Let’s hope the American people come to their senses in four years and send Obama back to Chicago.

Oh! Another side note… (i know, big shock)

I’m curious how this will affect future children who are “mixed.”  Not one of my favorite terms either.

Will all kids who are half-white and half-black NOW be refered as “African-American” or “black”?  Will it depend on their parents’ origin?  Will they get the chance to choose?

Something I thought about… before I didn’t agree with Obama being labeled as African-American.  I was wrong.  His father (BLACK) was from Kenya (Africa) and his mother (WHITE) was from America.  So it fits him.

So does this now make the following equation true?

Black+White=Black

A thought for the future.

Have a good one!
