Do you think Entergy should release its pricing practices to the Attorney General?

I will say this and you make your own assumptions. I have NEVER since I have lived here seen an Entergy truck pull up to my home and READ a meter. I do not have one of the new digital type so I know that reading from the street or a remote location DOES NOT APPLY to me. I tried for ONE month to cut my bill which was almost $200.00 for a single family dwelling. I unplugged ALL appliances(referred to as Vampire Electronics) that were not in use, I changed my laundry habits; everything was washed after dark. I only had the hot water heater breaker on when I knew that I was about to use hot water and then went back to the breaker box when I was finished and flipped the breaker off. I did this day in and day out for over a month. I received my next bill only to see a THREE DOLLAR decrease. So someone, somewhere is over charging and I feel that they are estimating my monthly use and not actually driving to my meter and reading it the way it should be done. If Entergy paid for fuel or whatever it was from an outside source when they had a cheaper alternative, Entergy should eat those charges and not gouge the hell out of people that in this day and age DEPENDANT on electricity. They will have to give those records to the Attorney Generals office, so that is a no brainer. Maybe after watching all the local and National news lately will finally be rid of or at least put an end to some of the Corporate and local corruption that seems to be bleeding over to everyone but rarely affecting those that have already lined their pockets with so much money it will never really affect them. People remember, if you believe in Heaven and Hell, then you should know that what you do in this life, you will stand in judgement for in the next. God doesn’t give mulligans. |

It is ridiculous the way entergy do people that’s just trying to make it. my neice after having her lights turned off due to excessive billing finally got her money saved up to have her electricity turned back on only to be told that she has to pay a $500.00 deposit to get service.I remind you min. wage was $6.25 before 7/24/08 and she lives in a trailer park.Who pays a $500.00 deposit for service? They need to be more than investigated…..Wonder what did they pay to get service? |

Yes, I think that Entergy should release its pricing practies, because I think that it’s impossible to have a 630.00 bill when there is nothing on in the day time. Even if it was, I still think that it’s impossible to have for a person that is in a mobile home or a home. I have talk contacted them about my priced bill on many occasions and I live in a mobile home. |

Yes, I think that Entergy should release its pricing practices. There have been questions for many years regarding their pricing. I worked for one of the school districts in MS and our office staffed would always compare energy bills of parents who live in three-story or 3500 sq ft. homes to those who live in flats or 1400 sq. ft. homes. The parents that live in 3-story homes presented energy bills ranging from $25.00 - $35.00 and parents that live in 1-story homes presented energy bills ranging from $150.00 - $350.00 per month. One parent that lives in a 3-story home stated, “Entergy set their meters according to location and/or community.” When they complete this investigation they need to investigate WHY or HOW two homes on the same street, in the same neighborhood, home taxes are significantly different—homeowner A taxes are $300.00 per year while homeowner B taxes are $2,000.00 per year! |
