This is a historic event to be able to witness our 44th President Obama at a local civil rights leader, knowing the scarafices that were made as a forerunner to this day.  I thank God we can sit here as US citizens to and have an Africian American President.  We have overcome !!!!!
We have yet do do much work as a nation but we have come such a long way. To God be the Glory.

I am so proud of President Obama. I am proud of what this moment means to and for my children both directly and indirectly.  I am proud of those that have made this moment possible through their quest for freedom and equality from the first march to this day, the inaguaration of our first black president.  Thank you my ancestors I am eternally grateful and will continue to prove it through my works.

I love Barack Obama and I am so delighted that he was the first black president of my time! I never thought that I would see this day but by the grace of God I did! This year is the best year of my life I can say! In the 2008-2009 year, I am a senior at Terry High School, I turned 18 years old, voted for the first time for a African American president, and lived to see him get elected in office on top of everything! I love my life and I’m so pleased I am able to be here!!
