Quieting Cell Phones (31)
Tell us what you think should happen to students that are caught with cell phones at school.

Students who are using them should have them taken for the day and given back at the end of the day. The student should also be paddled in front of the class or in the area they are caught using one. This is swift and clear punishment. |

Angel, I applaud you for being on here and voicing your oppinion. I can only reply like this. I went to school from Kindergarten all the way to graduation and did not have a cell phone. You know what? I am still alive and did just fine without a cell phone. You do not NEED a cell phone in school. You want a cell phone because it is a status symbol. Just like when I went to school, the bigger the boom box, the better. Everyone would bring theres to school to show off. Eventualy the school banned them because they became to much of a distraction. The only difference is with phones, you are able to communicate, and very discretely, with others. That is a lot more distracting, and potentialy dangerous, than a boom box. Sorry, I still don’t see a need for kids to have cell phones. |
