Should kids have cell phones at school? We need to be asking if kids should have cell phones at all? There is no reason for kids to have phones, except to get into trouble. Cell phones just make it easier to sell those drugs and pimp out the chics. |

I think that there should be NO cells phones allowed in the schools. If a child has an emergency then they can use the phone in the office. Parents should know that their is a phone in the office that the children can use. I used to work in a school office. Like who are the children going to call at school. Are they going to call one of their buddies and be ” hey man, I’m just sitting in class. What are you doing?” I mean come on. |

The school system should ban cell phones and install systems that would not allow cellphones to have short waves signals to work on school property |

Children in school do not need cell phones. How many years did we go before without cell phones and the world did not fall apart without them. Parents can call the school office if an emergency occurs. They mostly serve as a distraction anyway. I have sat in classes where students have a phone and it has rang. It creates a severe disruption for the teacher and the other students. |

Students should be allowed to have their phones. But turned off during school hours. You have students that drive to school and might need to call for help, you have ones with after school practices and games and need phones to let parents know. Simple rule if the phone rings in class or student caught using in class the that student loses the phone and a conference with the parents is needed before the phone is returned. Otherwises there is no harm in having the phones at school. |
