The state law is 18 to enter, 21 to drink! Apparently the law makers realize it is really wrong to be able to die in combat @ 18 yrs but not go where “adults” go. Depending on the county and city laws, it is often legal for 18 year olds to enter alcohol selling establishments. Smoking bans by our government should be completely illegal! little yazoo bar….sat.nite 2/16/08 a fight broke out nothing new there.but the county boys and a judge was there,also a 18 year old boy who was in the bar and drinks there all the time…why? 18 year olds are not suppose to be allowed in a bar why does this bar stay open when they do nothing but break the law!and our law and a county judge knows all of this and lets it happen..what can we do about this…maybe we need to put the law and that judge in jail…. |

I think its the parents fault cause they allow their kids to get their cars on weekends and have no idea where they’re going. they should keep track of their kids and set the rules bout drinking and drive. same adults go to jail for drinkin and driving teens should too. and some parents allow their kids to do whatever they want, they need to stop. thats way teenage kids shootin at eachother and killin eachother now. cause some parents just dont care.also more road blocks and more law enforcement on patrol. |

Where are the free youth organizations to help inspire these youths? How excited would you be as a teenager to find that if you live in Jackson your life consist of working two jobs to make ends meet. Most of the organizations with the resources to help combat our problems are so focus on being the kings. The people with the most power so they want join together to help this hunger state in which we are in. We are no different from New Orleans they have left the poor, the african americans out to dry. Is this genocides. |

for over 40 years, I’ve watch my love one drink and drive. I did “all of the above” if you know what I mean. He still drink and drive every day of his life. A couple of his “associates” have killed people under the influence. Went to jail and so on. But the “officers” think lowly of me when I report him. People seem to think it’s a “marriage thing” and they, even the police, don’t want to “interfer” The last time the police were here, they tried to get me to “give him some lovin’and forget about the call” and ended up threatening to take me to jail if they ever came back. He was drunk, I don’t drink. And again, they took his side. One police told the others, I came out here before, she had a chance to leave him years ago. If you take his keys, he goes into a rage. They have ungodly control and we all know the end results. Plus, he has several sets of keys. He hides continually behind, “Don’t judge me” “It’s my life” “It’s my money.” “some folk do worst than me” “Mind your own business” and so forth. To shut me up. He rarely drinks in the house. And angry because I don’t allow his friends to “drink or smoke in the house” he say’s I’ve run all his friends off. Please keep this anonomous, for I’ve lost a lot in the past for speaking out. The teen drinkers, if not stopped will grow into nice drunken citizens. |
