I am proud of my President of the United States. I am sure he will be the best that we could ever have. Yes, I know we had some thoughtful Presidents in our history but I know our future will be bright. There are probably some people out here that don’t like that a black man is in office but they have to deal with it.I am not a hater of white people but I dislike the things they do to some blacks. I don’t know why white people are so mad at blacks because whites the one started the hate anyway. It is time to stop the foolishness and get the country togethe. In my last words I congratulate my President Barack Obama and I hope he do good for the country. |

Finally… a “black” man is now president! It has now been proven that a man of any race can achieve one of the highest positions in our great country. I’m all for equal rights and opportunity! This is now the perfect time to do away with Affirmative Action! There is no more need for racial percentages in the work place!
Anyone can now obtain any goal if they are the deserving party! Nah… i really don’t care. Just as long as they do the job right and to the best of their ability. But certain counties in different states already declaring national holiday’s after the man? That’s a little premature don’t ya think? Think if some place had declared Richard Nixon Day before he actually took office? Stirring the pot of Jackson’s political discussion kitchen, Darrell. :) |

It baffles me to hear the people say that african americans voted for president- elect Obama because of his race is silly and a bunch of other things. I would like to know if those people think that Jessie Jackson or Clarence Thomas or Al Sharpton would be our president if they had run….......Hell no. Would it be fair to say white people voted for Bush because he was white. Hell no. President obama won because he was the best candidate. |

I find your constant referral to President-elect Obama as “Obama” severely lacking in professionalism. You may not like the fact that he will be the next president, but get over yourself and pay him the courtesy due him. |

sorry for my late, and i’m sure missed, response on this topic… connie… your right, it was a smart campaign. I’m sure he knew that by choosing a certain race, that this would bring alot of people who have never voted out of the woodworks and vote this time around. Now he’s saying THREE million jobs will be created… good luck with that. Will this three million include all the layoffs and business delays that have been going on lately? (GM and Toyota to name just 2) I’ll give Barack this… as long as he’s on the prompter, he can give one hell of a speech. I love all the “uuhhs and uumms” during his interviews. I’m not saying he doesn’t have good answers, but I would love to have a well spoken president on and off the prompter… don’t even get me started on Bush though :) Now Marquita… Obama on money? Give me a break. Just because he’s the president doesn’t mean he should be on money… let’s let him be the best thing this country’s ever witnessed first okay? I mean, that IS going to happen… right? |

MIMI CONTINUED..LET ME JUST SAYS FOR THOSE WHO DO CARE ABOUT THE UNIMPORTANT THINGS IN LIFE (IM BLACK BY THE WAY)..I AM VERY PROUD OF THE OUTCOME HOWEVER. I DO BELIEVE THAT THINGS HAPPEN FOR A REASON. I CAN ONLY IMAGINE THE JOY THAT SOME FELT ANCESTOR WISE ANYWAY WITH THE LIFE THEY HAD TO LIVE AND WHAT MANY WENT THRU THAT RESORTED TO SOME OF US HAVING LIFE TODAY, IM THANKFUL. LET WHOMEVER SCREAM HISTORY TO THE TOP OF THEIR LUNGS BECAUSE THATS WHAT IT IS. THE HISTORY PART WAS ABOUT RACE IN A SINCE BUT IT WASNT IN A SINCE IN MY OPINION, THIS IS SIMPLY NO MATTER HOW YOU LOOK OR FEEL ABOUT SOMETHING THAT HAS NEVER TAKEN PLACE AS LONG AS LIFE ON EARTH. SO ITS DEFINETLY A CELEBRATION TO CELEBRATE. CONGRADS TO OBAMA, HE DESERVES AN OPPORTUNITY JUST AS WELL AS ANYONE ELSE! |
