Well said Tammy… Only time will tell what Obama will ACTUALLY do for this country. I’m white and have no problem with this “african-american” being the president. As I said before, he may be the best thing for this country. No one REALLY knows yet. What burns me up though, is the fact that so many people (on both sides of the racial line) are saying stuff like, “finally, a black man is president” or “this election was about equal rights” or some other “We will rise” group mouthing off about some great step this will be to overcome racism. This was supposed to be about picking the best person for the job… not a moment for “making history.” Here it is plain and simple… if you voted for mccain because you didn’t want to see a black man as president, you’re a racist idiot. AND if you voted for Obama so that the US could have its first african-america president… you TOO are a racist idiot. Go look up Howard Stern’s election experiment for some interesting. Some people didn’t really know one person’s policies from another… kinda interesting. Hope everyone’s having a good weekend! |
