I want to comment on Mayor’s pay for school program. I there is such a surplus why did they have to borrow so much for storm clean up. And why isnt the surplus going for security in schools as well as neighborhoods? Just on the outside looking in, looks like he wants some one owing him favors? |

Until recently, we have gotten very good reception on all local channels with a TV antenna. HOWEVER, over the past months, we have lost signals to ALL except channel 3 in Jackson, with the lastest last night--channel 12. Yes, we have applied for direct TV service, because we do depend on TV for news, weather, entertainment, etc. Yes, I am aware that analog service in the near future will not be available, but this is so unfair, especailly if citizens are forced to pay for good service. Will the antenna for TV signals be available at all? At this time, I can afford to pay for ‘’signals’’, but so many of our citizens cannot. Is this what this means? I certainly am not ‘’high tech’’ savy, but know that forcing people to pay for a service that should remain available is unfair. Please let me know why I have lost your signal! |

Robberies occur in Jackson everyday and this is the first time anyone (except the Barrett-Simon/Crisler team) has said that someone was trying to intimidate her. I guess they want to pin that on the mayor too. It’s hard to believe that Crisler has been in law enforcement for as many years as he says he has when he jumps to conclusions without any evidence. The composite of the robber didn’t look anything like the mayor. Leave the man alone! |
