Chief/Sheriff Why would we lower the speed limit on 220. Damn lets enforce the law and not change it. Lower the speed limit is not going to slow people down. Raise the fine and get into some take home pay. That will slow people down.

I was attacked by 3 women at my home on March 19,2008. I was on the phone with the 911 operator until the police had arrived. At least 4 police officers were present and one was a supervisor. There was no arrest. I feel so violated. Where is the justice They clam that they had to see the women jumping on me when they had arrived. They clam that it was their word against mine. My children saw the whole thing and was in great fear. My husband allowed these women to fight me. I told the officers that the females mother was trying to stab me with an knife, they did nothing. I never felt so alone. There was no justice being served. Your officers were only worried about being at the scene for about 30 minutes. Within these 30 minutes, i feel that these women that followed me to my home to beat me were to be arrested. This is unjust treatment. The officrs are there to protect and serve and the failed me yet. I will not ever put my faith in the justice system ever. Thank God that I was not stabbed. These women are foul and need to be off the streets. I feel that your officers need futher training on how to handle situations like this and not to be worried about the time because they chose to be lazy. I am talking to an attorney about this matter so that it won’t happen to no one else.
I think Mr. Mayor Frank Melton did a great job. it would be nice to see the city expand to the whole couny like other cities in other states like Jacksonville, Nashville, soon to be Memphis, & so on. Do you think it’ll ever happen sir?
Dear, Chief McMillin what are your views on the fact that homocide has expanded since you have step into office. I mean im not trying to make you a bad person but I think that officers should be out around the town more. I know that because of sin the world is bad and this is just the beginning of what our eyes can see because as the days pass and when the angles let go of the four winds thing are goin to happen in which we have no control over.

Having established a K-9 unit you obviously know the value of dogs to humankind. There recently have been anti-dog media/legislative activities that are magnifying the few bad dog events (90%+ pit bull-related) but minimizing the vastly greater good dogs do.
My question: Do you support the statistical importance of a barking dog as a crime deterrent or do you consider a well-mannered, legally-managed dog (not a pit bull), who occasionally barks at strangers from within his fenced yard, a ‘public nuisance’ to be quelled by the Police?

I saw where the police was writing tickets for speeding. My question be this: If you won’t stop people from breaking into my car and you won’t stop them from breaking into my house and you won’t stop them from stealing my vehicles, why do you care if they drive over the speed limit?
If kids or adults deface property of any kind, wouldn’t it save the city quite a bit if they are made to clean it up themselves. It is not enough to just lock them up.
Are you going to investigate the City of Jackson Animal Shelter and the accusations of cruel treatment given to the animals there?
I recently heard of the horrible treatment rescued animals receive at the Jackson Animal Shelter. They are abused, neglected and mistreated. The purpose of the Jackson Animals Shelter is to help animals, not further their mistreatment. Are you personnaly going to investigate this mistreatment and actually do something to stop this treatment?
