Are you going to investigate the City of Jackson Animal Shelter and the accusations of cruel treatment given to the animals there?
I recently heard of the horrible treatment rescued animals receive at the Jackson Animal Shelter. They are abused, neglected and mistreated. The purpose of the Jackson Animals Shelter is to help animals, not further their mistreatment. Are you personnaly going to investigate this mistreatment and actually do something to stop this treatment?

Congradulation, I am glad to see the appointment. I think you are the man for the job. How are you going to address the disgruntled employees who opposed your appointment, and if any reorganization of the department will be done.
Why can’t something be done about the drug problem in Utica?A tragic overdose death occured today that coould have been prevented it something had already been done. Will It take another death like this for a child to find his mother overdosed for something to be done?
I am very pleased with the sheriff and would like to know why the state won’t let him have radar for his patrolmen in the county? We need them to have it.
My first question is Will the officers’ of JPD and the Deputies’ of HCSO, get a pay increase and a retirement reform, let face it the starting pay is below the norm for a metro area. It going to be hard to attract anyone coming into the field.
My second question is are you going to pay officers’ more then starting pay, who is wanting to transfer in from other agencies for their law enforcement experience.

Sheriff Mac, is there any possible way you may be able to help inside our JPS District. Please do something about the kids that are running over our teachers like crazy. We need a JPD inside every school here in JPS. The teachers are afraid of the children. There are teachers that do not come to work because they are afraid of the children. PLEASE help JPS.

Do you think you could help slow the traffic on Old Canton and Ridgewood? They are primarily residential streets and traffic is always “flying”. Seems like a good way to bring in income to help pay for more policemen.
No question....just remarks: I feel as though the Chief’s slot has been awarded to a no frills, down to earth, more than qualified, dedicated and proven sheriff/chief who will be both firm and fair. Jackson now has that!!!! God speed to the new Chief for he has a very demanding challenge facing him. Also, congratulations on the Billy Hickman award. Billy was a personal friend. In addition, it is sad that the city has to deal with individuals such as Mr. Stokes! How embarrassing for the city to allow his displays of anger and very evident racism to be viewed on public television. He is very embarrassing, and 100% unnecessary. If he is the example of Jackson, the new city, I need to find some way to avoid even driving through the City of Jackson. God help us all!!

I THINK MCMILLIN WOULD BE PERFECT FOR THE JOB! EVERYONE IS TALKING ABOUT HOW THEY THINK HE CANT HANDLE THE DUAL ROLE. IF THEY FEEL THAT WAY,THEY SHOULDNT ASK HIM IF HE WANT THE JOB. HE IS WHAT WE NEED,SOMENONE WHO IS MULTI-TASK! HIS MEN ARE WELL GROOMED(ALSO HAVE NICE CRUSIERS) AND YOU NEVER HEAR ANYTHING BAD ABOUT THEM ON THE NEWS. I FEEL HE IS ALL WE NEED TO CRACK DOWN ON CRIME AND GET JPD IN LINE!
With the recent not guilty verdict of a murderer, Elicia Hughes, will there be a look into the way that JPD investigates? Given the recent turn of events with proper investigation there would have been a different outcome and the family of the murder victim would not feel victimize twice, as they must feel now.
My question to the Sheriff is will there be a look into response time for JPD? Personally I have witness JPD officers that should be working, hanging out at homes. I know that there are a lot of good officers, but there a lot of bad officers as well. Those bad officers are a big contribution to the crime problem in Jackson, and surrounding areas.
