I voted for Barbout the first and second time. If I could I would take it back. So many people that I know are being affected by this Medicaid situation. If he had a major health concern. and was relying on Medicaid to take care of the health cost, but was turned down health care, I wonder if he would change his mind then? He needs to work with our legislators and get this situation straightened out asap.
Misssissipi has fallen and will never get up if we dont get these drug dealing thieves out of our office. Now I believe the statistics that we have on of the lowest education rates because the politicians are making us look ignorant. By taking advantage of mississippi and every resource that we have had. Time to force out the old and bring in the new are this will be like the wild wild west in a year.
It’s going to be worse than it is now our suppose to be governor is all about the people with the money so he can get the money he wants. He’s not for the real people of mississippi!!!!!
I can’t believe what is going on in Mississippi, we need to come to our senses about key issues like who will represent us in our public offices it seems to me that Mississippians just don’t have good sense wake up people see these men and women for what they really are. They don’t mean us any good just pitiful. They don’t have a plan for those who really need help in our state Halle Barbour is not fit to run the Governor’s job didn’t you see that these past years or did you not pay attention because the moves that were made did not affect you like it did in middle class communities around the state stop being selfish in life look out for your neighbor as you would yourself. Boycott Barbour and his mis guided ideas don’t forget all those still suffering on the Coast he doesn’t care never has never will. Just another Republican lap dog.
Well let’s see what he did the previous years nothing which is what he is going to do now as well I am a felon so I couldn’t have voted which I still think is unfair new laws need to be created it shouldn’t matter what I did in the past because everyone makes mistakes why should I have to suffer I can’t even possess a weapon to protect my self the sole purpose of this law is to keep black people from voting, the reason I say this is because the majority of people who has a felon are black people. The only way to get a felon off one’s record would consist of paying a lawyer a lot of money something black people are not able to do. It’s all a trap to keep African American’s down. Halle Barbour doesn’t intend on helping my people so we need to stick together and help out each other.
Nicole. Just remember later when I say “I told you so”
Bob
I think you should run the missed episode of CANE since you covered an election instead of regular programming. Especially since the outcome was evident way before the time for the regular programming.
I BELIEVE THAT THE GOVERNOR HAS AND WILL CONTINUE TO DO A GREAT JOB..THE GROCERY TAX WOULD BE GRST BUT I BELIEVE ITS UNFAIR TO TIE IT TO TOBACCO TAXES..THATS SINGELING OUT A CERTAIN GROUP OF PEOPLE AND FORCING THEM TO PAY FOR EVERYONE ELSES TAX CUT WHICH IS WRONG...IF WE ARE GONNA DO THAT THEN ADD EXTRA TAXES TO EVERYONE WHO EATS FAST FOOD, OR EVERY ONE WHO BUYS TWINKIES....ITS JUST REDICULIOUS . IF YOUR GONNA CUT THE TAXES THEN JUST CUT IT INSTEAD OF LOOKING FOR WAYS TO MAKE IT FAIL
I seriously doubt that Bob. Mississippians are the only ones who allow the same mistakes to continue to hold office. Other states no better and what they want they get. So I think you are fooling yourself if you think that Haley will make it to the door of the white house (maybe to visit or take a tour but not as an officier none the less VICE PRESIDENT).
He will be the Republican candidate for Vice President of the US
I’m so disappointed that Haley Barbour got re-elected Governor. This means that we won’t get a lower grocery tax; the same “buddies” of his will get the contracts; no cigarette tax; the Gulf Coast is STILL in disarray from Hurricane Katrina (Some cities still have FEMA trailer and camper communities! Drive down Hwy 90 and look at them!); and all of the same standoffs that we’ve had for the last 4 years. We should have made more progress on the Gulf Coast by now. We are the worst in the nation in Education, salaries for the general public, obesity and several other things. WHY?
I email a question to Haley Barbour weeks before about the Medicaid crisis. The Question was, why is it that the people that can work but won’t can easily get full coverage on Medicaid. But the Elderly that CAN NOT work have limited benefits, under Medicaid. Something is truly wrong here. I have not heard anything, on my question at all.
Hey Johnny, your blog says that you just moved to Mississippi ok it looks like to me that you have caught the tail end of the ordeal. Suggestion: try living in MS four years under this leadership and see if your opinion remains the same because it is obvious that you don’t know squat about what has been happening in MS and what will be happening in MS with this terrible leadership team that we have here. The democrats would have lived up to their promises to the people. You talk politics, but all the republicans have ever done is sold a bunch of pipe dreams. You wonder why this state is a welfare state? Go ask your fellow republican leaders.
Provide better health care for all Mississippiams. It looks like everyone can receive better health services, but not if you don’t have but one income, make little or no money, not old enough for medicare or medicade. No sisters of brothers to help you or children to buy other sources of help for you. Please helps in this main area. Health Care First>
Make sure Mississippi get better jobs and let the children get an opportunity in education stay in school but dont take money away from elders that they work hard for over the years
