It is a very sad situation first of all, and its embarrassing that you have a good women at home and choose to destroy her life along with the unborn child due to pleasure. Well just being straight out doggish! I hope justice be served quick, fast and in a hurry. I hate that the Banks family have to go through a tragedy like this but rememer just put it in God’s hands and I promise you he will work it out. All things work together for the good. In life there are somethings we don’t understand, somethings are not for us to understand but God do things for a reason!He will not put no more on you than you can bare!

To Tameka From Virginia, This site is about the Avis Banks Murder, not about spelling/grammar or being educated or uneducated.  Although you feel that people need help in these areas, I think that you have a comprehension problem (Unable to Understand), and I think that we should stick to the topic at hand.

I think that this is the most heinous crime that I have ever heard of.  First of all, how are Carla’s parents and Keyon’s parents being kept out of the media?  I would love to hear how Carla’s family feel about this situation, and I know that they are going to stand beside their daughter, but there’s one thing that I have to say is that If it was my child that evidence was pointing to that went out and killed someone’s child, and did them worse than an animal in an inhumane, brutal killing, I would not spend one day or one red cent trying to get them representation to keep from going to prison.  That’s the purpose of having a justice system so that we can behave like civilized human beings in society, and in the world, and if the laws of the land are not followed, then that’s where punishment comes in, to punish the guilty, not to set them free.  I realize that everyone is entitled due process, and that everyone’s persumed innocent until proven guilty, but if I thought that my child was guilty of this, he/she would not have my support, he/she would get a court-appointed attorney, and be on his/her own.

I think Keyon is guilty and wrong for putting his girlfriend in the middle of some mess that she didn’t no anything about which resulted in her death. But at the same time although Keyon started this ####, it doesn’t give Clara the right to take action because she mad. True enough Clara has a lot of fans in Greenville, but at the same time let’s not forget the police have enough evidence on her that has kept her locked up for more than a year. If she is not guilty, by all means she should be set free and the real killer should pay. If she is guilty she should suffer the consequences just like any other murderer who could commit a senseless crime. Bottom line, Keyon could have avoided all of this and Avis would still be here if he weren’t so full of ####, but being fair, you can not blame him for what Clara did, he provoked her by playing with her emotions, but no man can make you kill a woman and her unborn child in that woman’s house. Clara is a grown woman and love should not lead to murder. Being a mother herself she should have had more heart for Avis. Regardless of who is convicted of this crime, the Banks family will never see Avis again and that hurts me to think about. My heart goes out to the Banks family. I will always keep you in my prayers.

first of all my heart and prayers goes out to the banks family, and trust and believe in God he is the only answer.  To everyone that has talked so bad about Carla, you are so wrong for that, it was Keyon that is the reason all this stuff started in the first place, he is a very low person.  Carla didnt commit this crime and i stand behind her as far as that punk a-- pittman boy, hes the one need to be locked up so to everyone downing carla why wont yall blame the one that really did it and that is keyon pittman

If convicted, Clara should get the chair. There is no reason to kill anyone, especially a baby. If she loved that midget that much she should have done something to him instead of Avis and her baby. My heart goes out to the Banks family. Justice alone will not bring Avis back, but I know it will make the family feel better to no that a heartless love struck woman is out of the Jackson Public School system and off the streets. If she is killing kids, I’m glad they got her out the classroom before she got extremely mad at one of the students. On behalf of the citizens of Greenville, MS who can care less about Clara Hughes and don’t have sympathy for her and senseless crime, you have our deepest sympathy. Justice will prevail.

Is this about southern launguage or the families? Get real!?!

I am saddened at the fact that people would use this site to even display their “constructive critism”.  What if the bereaved family wanted to view the comments periodically to find that continued support? Sometimes even though our sympathetic and empathetic statements are feeled with broken English, grammatical errors, improper syntax, or even misstatements; we mean it whole-heartedly. Our hearts go out to Avis’ family and we pray that justice is served.  And contrary to popular belief, everyone in the South is not dumb.

I knew it was a matter of time before one of you little ignorant ***** posted something like this on here. Boo..I know you don’t know the meaning of the term ‘constructive criticism’. I also understand that you don’t have the intellectual capability to get your point across without resorting to foul language. Ergo, I’m going to go ahead and ignore your last comment.  However, I will suggest that you spend more time reading and bettering yourself overall. It’s patently obvious that you and your fellow citizens need a lot of work.

I feel that there is enough evidence to convict the woman that killed Avis and they should put her in prison and never let her get out

I continue to pray for the Banks family, its so sad. I wonder what fool is talking to Pittman now? Whose life is he trying to mess up now. And Clara, I wonder how many women she got now!
